HEEL PAIN

Heel pain is a common problem in middle age and in the elderly population
The most common causes of heel pain include
- Plantar fascitis
- calcaneal spur
- Retrocalcaneal bursitis
TThis variety of pain manifests immediately on getting out of bed, with great difficulty in walking the first few steps.
The common modes of treatment include foot wear modification, medications, exercises and physical therapy.
If the condition does not resolve with first line treatment, injection of Platelet rich plasma into the area may be considered.
